Each year the College of Charleston athletics department hosts and end of the year all sports banquet, AKA "The Coug Awards" at TD Arena. The ceremony opens and closes with a short minute or so all-sports highlight video, and this year those two videos were produced by yours truly!!

This project required some digging on my end to track down at least a handful of clips from each sports team at the college...a few weeks after the digging I finally found all the pieces I needed.

I believe in creating engaging videos. If a video doesn't excite me then how do I expect it to excite my audience? In doing some research, I came across a media blog by Henry Rucker who agrees:

"Before you start putting your video together you need to think and analyse who your audience is and what kinds of video they like. What kind of content are you looking to include, what does your audience like and engage with? Just because you think it’s a good idea, it doesn’t mean that they do."

Seeing as these all sports highlight videos are going to be presented at the beginning and end of the banquet, my audience analysis tells me that the vibe of my videos should be fast-paced in order to both capture attention, and leave on a high note.

Through fast and upbeat audio along with fast-paced clip transitions, I hope to engage my audience and have their eyes glued to the screen...only a few days until the big day, so wish me luck!
