#THIS.

I've been doing a lot of research for creative sports content over the past few weeks. It is overwhelming how much promotional content professional teams marketing coordinators come up with and push out to their audiences. Overwhelming---but awesome.

The MLB recently caught my eye with its advertising campaign entitled "THIS." The idea is simple in nature yet extremely captivating. Each clip features a 30 to 45 second slot of footage followed by a clean-looking graphic overlay that reads "THIS" inside the shape of a baseball diamond.

The footage varies from a big play, a funny fan moment, or just some guys goofing around in practice. Herein lies the reason I find this campaign to be successful--because it's flexible. This gives the MLB a million different ways to promote itself as an organization and therefore a million different ways to reach its audience.

As an intern, the takeaway inspiration for me is to create something like #THIS for our upcoming CofC Baseball promotional content ...so something is in progress, folks.
